One of the things that Italy makes me fall in love with, besides the food and cultures, is taking a walk. Every time I visit the Tuscany countryside, I seize the chance to enjoy every second of the fresh air by taking a slow relaxing walk.
Last time while visiting my family in Pistoia, I went to Padule di Fucecchio with some friends to kill a lazy afternoon. Padule di Fucecchio is within the comune of Ponte Buggianese, a village in the province of Pistoia, located 45km west of Florence. It is basically a piece of wetland, surrounded by trees, reeds, birds and country houses. If you are also a slow-walk lover like me, or any outdoor activity fan (such as running, bicycling, etc.), or even a photographer, this is a perfect place for you to chill, relax and find some inspiration.
It was a cold and dry, but very sunny afternoon. We almost had the whole area to ourselves. Can you spot the black dots in the middle of the picture? Those are birds! What a nice place for outdoor sports!

The sky is crystal clear. I regard the gradual changing color of blue a symbol of Tuscany sky! What makes me really fall in love with is under the blue sky, there is always green 💚
After parking the car on the side, we started walking along the road. The undisturbed wetland was flat like a mirror, reflecting the blue color of the sky. Reed growing surrounding the wetland moved gently and quietly with the breeze, providing a very relaxing environment.
Flat and quiet waterland. Can’t really tell if it is iced or not.
My #handinframe shot! See it on my Instagram too.😜
My friend and model. The place is good as a minimalist background, which highlights the character of the object. Look at the chubby face of the baby!
What I love about this photo is the clouds hanging in the middle of the land and sky. What a nice interruption!
It was such a lovely time spent with family and friends. Next time when I am back in Tuscany (probably will be around May), I will visit here again, and see how it looks in summer time. And for those who loves running or walking in the countryside, or fan of agriturismo experiences, definitely check here out while you are in Tuscany!
