One of the places I love to explore when traveling in a foreign city is the local fresh market. They are like treasures to me: I never know what surprise I will encounter the next minute!
I found this booth selling jars of Sicilian snacks in a Palermo open-air fresh market. Besides the famous carciofi, olives that we can think of, it also sold sauces and brews featuring local ingredients.
I bought a pack of dried tomatoes in a jar of olive oil, and I still recall the delicious taste it had. Although it was “dried” tomato, it was still juicy with a mix of tomato juice and olive oil. And chewy it was!!! ❤
