Cathedral of Santa Maria Dell’Assunta: Monument in Torcello
We visited Torcello when you were traveling in Venice, a green island with lots of natural reserves. Torcello comparing to Murano and Burano is not popular as the same level, but it has a totally different style: Venetian-Byzantine architecture.
One of the most incredible things inside the cathedral is the mosaic painting on the wall. When entering, you can see the mosaic painting of the figure of Virgin Hodegetria. And after visiting inside the church, you will see the big painting on the west wall, where you are going to exit from, with the paining of Final Judgement.
