I find the pictures of my Pompei trip taken years ago, and think this would be a good fit for this week’s photo challenge: abandoned.
Pompei is regarded a miracle of nature. It was so prosperous and advance, and one day all of a sudden the whole city was buried under ash. Guess God obviously loves the city, getting it uncovered to the world with its original face. While visiting Pompei, we can still see the ancient romans life style: the private houses, paintings on the walls, the swimming pools, the public baths, and the water supply system in the city… Everything in thousands years ago was frozen and well preserved until today.
This post is theming Weekly Photo Challenge: Abandoned.
Gorgeous photos! Visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum are on my bucket list. :0
