One of the things that I like about Italy is the food is natural and fresh.
Living in a modern city like Hong Kong has lots of advantages, but food is not one of them. Unseasonable food makes you forget about their real tastes. So every time when I am in Tuscany, I seize the chance to treat myself with a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables.
It is quite typical for Tuscan villagers to have a small piece of yard around the house. My parents-in-law fully use it by planting kinds of fruits and vegetables: strawberries, lemons, peaches, oranges, olive trees, tomatoes, zucchini, onions, etc. Every morning one of my dishes for breakfast is the fruit from the garden. Depending on the season, I am offered different things. But whatever it is, I absolutely don’t mind. 🙂
At the end, the easiest way to make my day is returning to the true nature!
